The plant is able to fully regenerate within 4-5 years after harvesting, ensuring a constant supply without negatively impacting the forest ecosystem. These exquisite papers promote both the ecology and village economies.
Each sheet of Lokta paper is meticulously handmade using traditional methods, including mould and deckle framing, and is dyed or screen printed by hand. The handcrafted nature of Lokta paper results in unique irregularities that only enhance its charm.
