Blackwing pencils are prized for their high-quality graphite that rarely breaks. The erasers are replaceable and extendable. The rectangular in shape of the erasers are very useful for erasing small details. The graphite used is a high quality Japanese graphite and they tend to be darker and smoother than other graphite.
