Nepalese Paper, typically known as Lokta paper, is handmade using traditional techniques. Made from the inner bark of the Lokta plant (Daphne bholua) and other Himalayan shrubs it is regarded as sustainable and eco-friendly.

Nepalese paper has a distinct texture and appearance which is characterised by its natural fibres and irregular edges. It has warm, earthy tones and often features visible plant fibres.
